Well, Qantas has given us an insight into what the majority of its passengers are doing when they take to the skies.

According to Qantas, across all their flights, passengers clocked a whopping 94 million hours of screen time on the in-flight entertainment system this year.
One movie stood out against all others in 2025: Wicked.
The movie musical blockbuster was a massive hit with passengers, who made it the most-watched movie of the year.
Customers spent over 388,000 hours with Glinda and Elphaba, while literally 'defying gravity' as they travelled through the skies.

Wicked proved popular this year on planes Universal Pictures
The most popular kids entertainment program on board was the beloved Aussie cartoon Bluey... though we'd bet more than a few adults chose it as their in-flight entertainment, too.
Over 157,000 hours were clocked watching the beloved blue heeler.
Two movie sequels dominated seat-back screens, with Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning and Gladiator II rounding out the top three most-watched films.
The White Lotus continued to be the number one TV show, with Qantas customers spending over 667,000 hours in the sky watching the acclaimed series.
The TV show inspired travel to Thailand this year, after the show was filmed and set on the island of Koh Samui.

Meanwhile, in the galley, the Lindt balls were rolling out - Qantas reveals that over five million of the treats were eaten on board flights in 2025.
Qantas First Lounges in Australia served more than 60,000 plates of Neil Perry's signature salt and pepper squid.
So where were these hungry travellers heading? Popular international destinations Qantas customers visited in 2025 included Japan, Europe, Los Angeles, New Zealand and Singapore.

Long-haul flights with Qantas are set for a mammoth upgrade, with the airline's highly-anticipated 'Project Sunrise' just around the corner.
The A350-1000ULR (Ultra Long Range) aircraft will fly for up to 22 hours non-stop, making direct flights to London and New York from Sydney possible.
The aircraft are tailored to combat jetlag through features like unique, customised lighting design and timed meal service.
Based on the modelling of circadian rhythms, the cabin lights aim to promote circadian adaption, sleep, and wake.
Qantas says its "Project Sunrise" ultra long-haul economy seats will have more legroom. CNN
The sequences will then be tailored to help passengers adjust to their destination time zone before they set foot on the ground.
There will also be a purpose-built Wellbeing Zone, featuring integrated stretch handles, guided on-screen exercise programs, a hydration station and a range of refreshments.
The first of 12 new aircraft is set for delivery in late 2026, with the first commercial Project Sunrise services starting in the first half of 2027.
