The longest world cruises you can book
If a week aboard a cruise ship isn't enough for you, there are plenty of options which offer many months at sea sailing around the globe.
A classic bucket-list item for retirees cruise firms from budget to super luxury voyages have itineraries on offer.
Of course the idea has been boosted by Royal Caribbean's ongoing world cruise, with influencers on board posting about their epic jaunt.
But if you don't have the time or money to spare, some cruise lines offer the chance to hop aboard for shorter legs.
Here are some of the longest world cruises now taking bookings.
10. Queen Anne - 107 days
In 2025, new Cunard ship Queen Anne will embark on her maiden World Voyage which includes her first visit to Australia and New Zealand.
Her 107-night journey will start on Hamburg on January 7, or passengers can board in Southampton two days later.
The 30-port trip starts with a transatlantic crossing before sailing to destinations in the Americas, Australasia, Asia, the Arabian Gulf and finally the Mediterranean.
The ship will do an overnight in Sydney on February 28, 2025.
Those who want a shorter option can join the 49-night Southampton to Sydney round-the-world cruise.
There are also other shorter options, starting at five days.
8. Crown Princess - 113 days
Crown Princess will embark on an epic around the world cruise next year, and you can get on in Australia or New Zealand.
Departing from Sydney on June 4, the cruise lasts for 113 days.
It will then return to Sydney after taking in 49 destinations in 28 countries.
The voyage will cross the equator twice, and sail 33,500 nautical miles.
Highlights will include Dover for London, Tangier in Morocco, Phuket in Thailand as well as stops in Norway and Greenland.
The ship holds just over 3000 guests and will be based in Sydney for the coming season, if you want to do a sorter cruise.
9. MSC Magnifica - 119 days
MSC's World Cruise 2026 lasts 119 days, starting on January 5 and ending on May 3.
You can book the entire round-the-world tour to 32 countries or a shorter segment.
The trip starts in Italy where the company is based, and takes in the Med before heading across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and south America.
It then sails to California before crossing the Pacific for Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia.
Asia, the Far East including Tokyo and Middle East are next on the list, before heading back to Italy.
Seven overnight port stays are included.
MSC Magnifica has 12 bars and five restaurants.
7. Seabourn Sojourn - 129 days
Seabourn's 2026 World Cruise is called Ring of Fire and will be aboard Seabourn Sojourn.
Setting sail on January 6, 2026 from LA, it takes in Hawaii, South Pacific islands, New Zealand, Australia and the Far East and Asia before heading Alaska and concluding in Vancouver, Canada.
That's a total of 63 ports in 14 countries with seven overnight stays.
With only 229 guests, the sailing is one of the more intimate ways to see the world on a cruise.
The ships are all-inclusive.
6. Volendam - 133 days
Holland America is offering a 133-day cruise aboard Volendam.
Titled Pole to Pole and taking a round trip from Fort Lauderdale in Florida it visits spots as diverse as Costa Rica, Antarctica, Morocco, France and Canada.
It departs on January 25, 2025 and gets back on June 7.
