Now travel experts have revealed TripAdvisor's top hidden gem attractions to add to your hit-list on your next trip.

The travel and luggage experts at Bounce analysed a variety of attractions in Australia, using Tripadvisor data, to reveal those across the country with the best reviews.

The Panorama Garden Estate in Borneo, Victoria, was crowned the number one hidden gem destination in Australia with 95.89 per cent of reviewers on Tripadvisor rating it 'excellent'.

The privately owned 55-acre garden and wildlife reserve has panoramic views for over 100 kilometres across Bass Straight and Port Phillip Bay.

Located on the Mornington Peninsula, just a one-hour drive from Melbourne, the estate has introduced more than 20,000 plants and 80,000 tonnes of rock with 18 separate garden areas, including lakes, streams, and waterfalls.

There are many animals to see, including rare albino kangaroos, wallabies, and alpacas, as well as native and pet birds like peacocks, amis, geese, and parrots.

Speaking of animals, the second best hidden gem in the country according to visitors is The Kangaroo Sanctuary, in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

The Kangaroo Sanctuary is the home of Brolga, the star of Kangaroo Dundee, which follows the exciting lives of rescued kangaroos and other wildlife. The center is a sprawling wildlife sanctuary for rehabilitating baby and adult kangaroos, offering guided sunset tours to learn about and celebrate the iconic Red Kangaroo.

The Northern Territory is actually the Australian state with the most hidden gems, according to the research, with a percentage of 8.47 per cent hidden gems in the city.

In third place is Ernest Hill Wines, in Nulkaba, New South Wales. The family-owned premium Hunter Valley wine producer, ranked as the #1 of nine things to do in Nulkaba and received the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Award 2024.
