The Aussie city crowned the best spot for 'hobby-based travel'
Australia is one of the best places in the world to visit for an adventure-packed holiday.
Now the travel experts at Bounce have compiled a list of the top 10 Australian cities for hobby enthusiasts, based on factors like running events, cycling routes, rock climbing, cooking classes, and shopping.

10. Busselton, WA
You might know about Busselton thanks to it being home to the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.
It's also number 10 on the list of best places to go for hobby-based tourism.
9. Wollongong, NSW
An hour south of Sydney, Wollongong is great for hiking and cycling, thanks to its proximity to the Royal National Park and Mount Kembla.
8. Perth, WA
Another spot in WA, Perth is great for runners. The city is home to the highest number of running events in Australia.
7. Sydney, NSW
Sydney is stacked when it comes to hiking trails, running clubs and rock climbing/bouldering routes. The Blue Mountains are just a short drive or train ride away.
6. Fremantle, WA
This port city just north of Perth has wonderful cycling routes along the coast.
According to Bounce, there are 570 cycle routes. This is the equivalent of 300 per 10 sq km – the most significant proportion in the Asian-Pacific region.
5. Melbourne, Vic
Along with outdoor hobbies, Melbourne is also a great place to visit if your hobby is shopping. The city is home to great boutiques, second-hand stores, and high-end fashion.
4. Adelaide, SA
One of the best things about Adelaide is its size - from the CBD you're only 20 minutes from the beach and from the hills.
