The best caravan park in Australia has been crowned for 2024
If you're planning a family road trip over summer but are unsure where to go, the best caravan park in Australia is probably a decent option.
Australia's leading caravan manufacturer, Jayco has revealed the winners of the annual "Greatest Escapes 2024" awards.
A holiday park on the Gold Coast was come out on top, with several other parks around the country also recognises across five different categories.

Jayco invited the Australian public to vote for their favourite destinations across each category, from family-friendly to budget-friendly options.
After thousands of votes from travellers BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park earned the title of Best Overall Caravan Park in Australia.

The park also received the title of the Best Family-Friendly Caravan Park in the country.
But while a Queensland spot took out the overall title, New South Wales won across three of the other four categories including the best pet-friendly stay and the People's Choice Award.

Other category winners across the country were:
- Best Budget-Friendly Caravan Park: Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park, WA
- Best Pet-Friendly Caravan Park: NRMA Forster Tuncurry, NSW
- Best Caravan Park for Couples: Tathra Beachfront Holiday Park, NSW
- People's Choice Award: Crescent Head holiday park, NSW
"These beautiful destinations are sure to inspire adventurers to embrace the great outdoors and explore more of what our country has to offer", Jayco's National head of Sales and Marketing, Scott Jones, said.
