Aussie travel experiences honoured at global tourism awards
A number of Aussie travel experiences have been honoured with top gongs at TripAdvisor's annual awards.
From destinations and beaches to restaurants, hotels, and tours, the list of Travellers Choice Awards for 2024 honours the best of the best.
The awards are based on reviews and ratings collected over the past 12 months.

Aussie tour operator Majestic Whale Encounters, which offers magical whale swimming tours in stunning locations across the globe has been recognised as one of the world's most beloved businesses.
The reviews from millions of travellers place the brand in the top 10 per cent of companies worldwide for the incredible experiences and service quality of their tours.
Operating tours in destinations like Tonga, Rurutu, Norway and Antarctica, the company gets travellers up close and personal with whales in the ocean.
One of their most beloved tours is a trip to Norway, where you can swim with orcas under the Northern Lights
If summer is more your speed, the company's Tonga tours involve swimming at pristine sandy beaches.

A number of Aussie spots were honoured with TripAdvisor awards.
Mount Lofty House & Estate Adelaide Hills was recognised as one of the best small or boutique hotels in the world, with guests mentioning the champagne and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies they received on arrival.
Adults-only resort Reef House in Palm Cove also got a nod as the top hotel in Australia, thanks to its beach access, beautiful setting, and cocktail happy hours.

For tours, the small-group Blue Mountains day trip from Anderson's Tours was named the best in Australia.
The city of Melbourne was honoured on a list of the world's most sustainable destinations, coming in at number six.
Sydney's Manly Beach was ranked number seven on the list of world's best beaches, the only Aussie spot to make the top 25.
"So many positives with fine clean sand kept clean and tidy by the local Council, no rocks and just pure golden sand, patrolled by lifesavers," one review of Manly reads.
