From the beaches to the Outback and everything in between, there's so much to see and do - and travelling around in a van or caravan means you won't miss a thing.
Of course, you'll want to make the most of it by camping in the most beautiful places possible, too.

Mt Franklin Camping
Have you ever slept inside the crater of an extinct volcano? That's exactly what you'll be doing if you camp at Mt Franklin.
Covered in pine trees and surrounded by farmland, it's a picturesque oasis that is also shielded from the wind.
The free campsite has plenty of spots you can nab on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park
If you want to get up close and personal with kangaroos, Halls Gap is the spot for you.
Along with powered tent and caravan sites, you can also rent luxury safari tents with a view of the Grampians National Park.
They even have a heated pool.
Wye River Campground
Perched right on the beach along the Great Ocean Road, you can't get better than this.
This is the perfect place for anyone who likes swimming, fishing, surfing, diving, cycling or bushwalking.
Meredith Park Campground
With camping spots right on the edge of Lake Colac, Meredith Park Campground is a serene and well-maintained spot to soak up the good vibes of nature.
And the best part? It's free.
Lake Catani Campground
High in the alps of Mount Buffalo National Park, this campground is basic but has the essentials (toilets and hot showers).
You can swim or kayak on the lake in summer, or take a walk to view nearby waterfalls when it's too cold for a dip.
Clancy Springs Campground
This is a great place to get in touch with nature. Spot koalas and roos as the sun goes down, then spread out a blanket and stargaze after night falls.
After waking up to the sound of wildlife, spend the day fishing or visiting nearby wineries.
Bendoc Camping Ground
If you're taking a trip to get away from the hustle and bustle, this no-frills campground is exactly what you're after.
Comprising only 10 sites spaced 60 metres apart, it's peaceful - but there's still a local pub nearby for a pint and a meal.
And, it's got toilets and hot showers.
Merool Holiday Park
It's right on the Murray River, but the real drawcard of this holiday park is its massive pool.
Though, between golfing, wine tasting, paddle steamer rides, stand-up paddleboarding, and all the other activities on offer in the area, it'll be hard to find time to lie by the pool.
Toorongo Falls Campground
Just a stone's throw from the mighty Toorongo Falls, this campground is surrounded by bushland and trails just waiting to be hiked.
It's free, and just two hours from Melbourne, so fills up quickly during holiday times... but it's worth getting there early to nab a spot.
