Plane passenger catches her seat neighbour in mid-air faux pas

When you're on a plane, space is already at a minimum, so the last thing you want is the passenger next to you leaning into your personal bubble.

One woman has caught her seat neighbour doing exactly that, leaning over her to take photos out the window.

After uploading the video to TikTok, it went viral, amassing over 4 million views.

"Do people not know personal space? And that you can choose a window seat?," TikTok user @sterlingsavannah wrote on the video of the appalling mid-flight act, which she sneakily filmed on her phone from her lap.

In the video, Savannah can be seen sitting awkwardly in her seat as the man next to her repeatedly reaches over her with his phone outstretched, snapping photos of the view outside.

According to her caption, she didn't want to confront the man, instead wrote that her "only option was to stare out the window."

Many people added their thoughts in the comment section, condemning the man for his space-invading act, but also declaring that Savannah should have said something to him.

"It's very important to be able to advocate for ourselves when someone is making us uncomfortable," one person wrote.

One suggested: "That's when you ask, 'Can I take the photo for you instead of you reaching into my personal space?'"

"Another option is to look him in the eyes and let him know he is making you uncomfortable. Try it. It's liberating to stand up for yourself," wrote a third commenter.

Others suggested she should just shut the shade on the window and stop him in his tracks.

This isn't the first time that people have done antisocial things on planes.

Earlier this month, a man filmed and uploaded a video of himself cooking garlic shrimp in a plane bathroom, using a portable heater to boil the shrimp in the sink.

Then he used his hands to mash up some powdered potato, and added everything into the in-flight vomit bag to enjoy at his seat.

Back in April, another passenger was slammed for 'manspreading' for the entirety of a six-hour flight, taking up other peoples' leg room.
