Woman returns home to find Airbnb guest has trashed her home
A US woman who hosted a guest at her rental apartment when she was away on an extended trip has returned to find her home in a state of complete disrepair.
Jazmin Jones listed her New York property on Airbnb, accepting a university professor as her guest for a six-month period.
When she returned, she was shocked at what she found, sharing images on TikTok @jazminrjones.

In the video we see images of mess and rubbish in every room, including in the kitchen, the bedroom and the lounge area.
Not only was the place a mess, there was significant damage to fixtures and what seems to be blood spatter on the walls.

Jones included captions in the video, reading: "Point of view: You come home to the realisation that your Airbnb guest was a literal demon, but actually he was just a 36-year-old professor.
"So much trash and mould and blood... and around the time you realise it's infested with mice, you also realise the door is broken."
There is a pile of "house wine" boxes left next to the bed and what appears to be wine stains on the bedsheets.

The bathroom sink is filled with beard shavings and the soap dish mount on the wall is broken.
In the video, we see a friend of Jones' arrive to help her clean up the mess, the woman climbing in through the apartment window.
"You spend your birthday weekend trying to figure out how to hire hazard cleaners, get your deposit and find lodgings in a housing crisis," she writes.

Jones' TikTok followers are equally shocked by the mess that has been left by her guest.
"Um baby that is a crime scene," says one.
"This is not okay," adds another.
"I know there's blood spatter…. but for some reason it's the broken soap dish that fully did me in," adds another.

"I'm sorry but blood like that??!! I would have called the cops. why would there be that much blood just on the wall like that," another writes.
In the comments section of her video, Jones reveals she is taking action over the mess and damage at her home.
"We are trying to sue and get the deposit, but that requires itemizing the damage (which is covered in body fluids) and filing a police report," she writes.
