Footage emerges of Nick Kyrgios partying at a nightclub hours before his brutal elimination

Video has emerged of Nick Kyrgios partying at a nightclub, allegedly filmed in the early hours of Monday morning ahead of his mixed doubles clash.

Kyrgios made a swift exit from the Australian Open on Monday, bumped from the mixed doubles draw in less than an hour.

He and doubles partner Leylah Fernandez were beaten 6-3, 6-1 in the second round.

Kyrgios did not enter the singles draw, choosing not to take a wildcard that likely would have been offered to him by tournament organisers, and lost his first men's doubles match alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis last week.

All in all he played three matches at Melbourne Park.

Now, video posted to TikTok shows the tennis player socialising at a Melbourne nightspot, with a caption that included, "tennis? What Tennis? Nick Kyrgios life of the party".

The Herald Sun reports Kyrgios didn't leave Bar Bambi until the early hours of Monday morning.

Hours later Kyrgios stepped out onto John Cain Arena and struggled to put up a fight in his match alongside Fernandez.

Kyrgios ruled himself out of the singles as a wildcard, saying his body would not be able to endure best-of-five-sets tennis.

Kyrgios' singles comeback at the Brisbane International was his first tour match since March last year after surgeries on his wrist and knees.

"I'm tired. I mean, I've done a lot of travel," said Kyrgios.

"I've ticked all my boxes, all my goals the last month-and-a-half.

"I've done everything I thought I could do. I don't know. I don't know what I'm going to do."
