Spring Carnival 2014: The Turnbull Stakes
The first major meet of the Spring Racing Carnival – the Turnbull Stakes – has been welcomed by tens of thousands of racegoers at Flemington.
The thundering of hooves was greeted by new fashion trends as elegantly dressed punters watched the first major battle of the season.
That victory went to the Kris Lees trained Lucia Valentia, but with Flemington again attracting the beautiful and stunning, the real winner may have been found off the track.
