Souths supporters salute their premiership heroes
After 43 years of misery Souths Sydney's legion of loyal supporters finally had their day in the sun, saluting their premiership winning heroes during a day celebration at the club's spiritual home - Redfern Oval.
The old ground was packed to the rafters with the euphoric scenes as the players filed in, before skipper John Sutton raised the cherished NRL trophy to a defeaning roar.
But while Sutton was feted, no one was more popular than man of the match and departing star Sam Burgess.
