Senna remembered 20 years on
Brazilian Formula One icon Ayrton Senna is being remembered as a caring man as well as a fierce competitor on the 20th anniversary of his tragic death.
His death as a result of a crash during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix sent shockwaves through the motor racing world and paved the way for improved safety in F1.
Current F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso paid tribute to the charismatic three-time world champion, saying he was an inspiration and a hero to them.
The fatal crash came after an Austrian rookie lost his life during qualifying.
