Stephen Larkham's Brumbies side have moved into the top two of the Super Rugby Pacific ladder after a comfortable 24-0 win against the Moana Pasifika.

The Brumbies didn't score until after 40 minutes had passed in the first half, with a moment of magic from Andy Muirhead and Corey Toole.

Muirhead received the ball near halfway before chipping over the top. Corey Toole then chased ahead and put the ball down just before the dead ball line.

"That is stunning from Toole," commentator Jeff McTainsh said on Stan Sport's coverage.

The winger couldn't stop his slide though, crashing into the fence and the fans sitting behind it.

Toole continued to look back with concern for the fan. During the half time coverage, Isaac Boss revealed the supporter returned to their feet and was OK.

Heavy rain during the week in Auckland meant Navigation Homes Stadium was a slippery surface and both sides struggled for attacking potency during the opening exchanges.

In the 28th minute, Fine Inisi thought he was over for the first try but it was scrubbed out for a line-out offside technicality. The denied try came when the Brumbies were down a man with Tom Hooper yellow carded for not rolling after several warnings against the side.

Points then came through Toole but the conversion was missed by Noah Lolesio.

In the 55th minute, Brumbies hooker Billy Pollard turned into a super-sub, scoring off the back of a maul.

Pollard then had a double in similar fashion, scoring from another maul.

It was a night for the doubles with the Brumbies' victory sealed in the 74th minute when Corey Toole crossed on the left wing.

A late yellow card came for the Brumbies with Tom Wright gone after playing Melani Matavaom off the ball.

The 24-0 result was sealed though, making it the second time Moana have failed to register a point.

Victory for the Brumbies makes it two in a row away from home. Post-game, Toole was delighted with his try scoring outlay.

"It's nice to get a couple of tries, that one down there on the fence, I managed to get the hand up and brace myself. I'm all right and hopefully the man I ran into is all right too," he said.
