Real Madrid toppled as sport's kings of cash

The Dallas Cowboys have dethroned Real Madrid as the most valuable sports team in the world according to a Forbes survey of the richest teams in the NFL.
"America's Team", who have not won the Super Bowl since 1995, topped the Forbes list with a value of $5.6 billion as part of a dramatic rise in the values of NFL franchises fuelled in part by a gargantuan TV deal worth $6.16 billion a season.
The valuation puts them ahead of Madrid, who were valued by Forbes at $4.57 billion according to a global list released earlier this year.
Real Madrid, the 10-times European champions, is valued at $4.57 billion.
MLB giants, the New York Yankees were next with a value of $4.48 billion.
Four-time Super Bowl champs New England Patriots is also valued at $4.48 billion.
Reigning European champions Barcelona are worth an estimated $4.4 billion.
English football giants Manchester United has a value of $4 billion.
Washington Redskins is valued at just under $4 billion.
The NFL's Giants are New York's second most valuable team with a value of $3.92 billion.
