Nine's commentary team could not get enough of James Turner vigorously waving of the flag.
"Jimmy waving it proudly aloft," Annabelle Williams said in commentary for Nine.
"Look at him, I think he is going to fall over," Dylan Alcott said.
Sylvia Jeffreys added: "No one has waved it as vigorously as James Turner. The afterburner Turner we now call him. He found that extra gear in the 100m to stun the world, making us so proud."
Centre stage for the final time
