Tips: ‘Nervous’ twist that could flip crucial selection trial

Andrew Johns believes the wet weather predicted in Sydney could sway a crunch round 17 showdown between the Eels and Rabbitohs.
With heavy rainfall expected on Thursday, the rugby league Immortal believes there could be an upset brewing in favour of Parramatta.

The clash will act as Mitchell Moses′ milestone 250th game — a game he must perform in due to pressure on his spot for Origin III — and Johns feels the halfback could have a major bearing on the outcome.
“I’m going the Eels,” he said on Wide World of Sports’ NRL Tips.
“Geez he’s been a great player and he’s a great fella Mitch.
“They’re tipping a bit of wet weather in Sydney and that would suit the Eels, particularly because of his kicking game. I think the Eels can win this one.
“Look at the form line, the week before the bye, the Rabbits flogged Brisbane but before that had lost three in a row ... the Eels, their form wasn’t too bad.”
Brad Fittler said the Rabbitohs’ inexperience out wide could be an issue.
“Souths make me nervous,” he said.
“I like their forward pack, their backs are a little bit inexperienced with young Latrell [Siegwalt] and Tallis Duncan playing in the centres.”
