Hot start to Flanno era
Dragons players celebrate one of Tyrell Sloan's hat-trick of tries in a scintillating start to the Shane Flanagan era.
They didn't get too many players into The Mole's Team of the Week over the course of last season, but the Red V has good representation in round one of the 2024 season.

1. Tyrell Sloan (Dragons)
Grabbed a superb hat-trick as the Red V started the Flanagan era with a big win on the Gold Coast.
2. Kyle Feldt (Cowboys)
Scored one try, had another disallowed and ran for nearly 200 metres to justify his spot ahead of several Cowboys young guns.
3. Dane Gagai (Knights)
One of the few Newcastle players to show any enthusiasm in the upset loss to the Raiders, making 220 metres and four tackle breaks.
4. Matt Timoko (Raiders)
The most dangerous attacking player on the field against the Knights on Thursday night - a big rap when you look at the personnel of the two teams.
5. Zac Lomax (Dragons)
May not want to play wing - but he'll be there for a while after scoring a try and running for over 200 metres against the Titans.
6. Tom Dearden (Cowboys)
Scored a try, steered the Cowboys around the park well and strong in defence against bigger opponents.
7. Jamal Fogarty (Raiders)
Came up with an immaculate kicking game and a try assist to lead the Raiders to their upset win in Newcastle.
8. Junior Paulo (Eels)
Ran for over 160 metres up the middle in a devastating 42-minute stint against the Bulldogs.
9. Harry Grant (Storm)
Captained the team well in an epic win over the premiers and led the way in defence with 44 tackles.
