Rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns has laid out the "blueprint" that can cause a Suncorp Stadium boilover on Saturday.

The NRL's fairytale story, the Warriors, head to the Queensland capital hoping to upset the high-flying Broncos to book a grand final spot for the first time since 2011.

The task in front of them is far from easy, as outlined by Brad Fittler.

"I don't think I've seen a team as exciting and athletic," Fittler said of the Broncos on Wide World of Sports' Freddy and the Eighth.

"You need to get errors out of Brisbane and put them under pressure."

While the Broncos are not an easy team to beat, Johns reckons he knows how it can be done.

"You've got to do something different, you've got to break (the Broncos) out of their rhythm," Johns said.

"I'd be kicking the ball out on occasion, slowing the game up, just trying to break their rhythm in attack.

"Slowing the game up, kicking the ball out, I'd be encouraging my team to offload the ball.

"Because they are so fast, and so fast defensively, if you get an overlap they can negate it with their speed.

"You've got to do something different - offload the ball, get out of dummy-half, kick the ball out, slow the game up, break their rhythm.

"It's going to be some game, this will be the game of the weekend."

The winner of Saturday's blockbuster clash will meet either Penrith or Melbourne in the grand final.
