The Mole's player ratings: Ali Brigginshaw 'barely sighted' as one NSW star scores 'perfect 10'
NSW have taken the unassailable 2-0 lead in the women's State of Origin series, with some huge performances across the board on Thursday night.
Olivia Kernick scored a double for the Blues and again cemented herself as one of the game's best players, while Jesse Southwell pulled the strings at halfback.
But for the Maroons, there will need to be some tough selection calls moving forward, with one player in particular on the chopping block.

The Mole takes a look at every player's game two performance below.
NSW BLUES
1. Abbi Church
Safe under the high ball in atrocious conditions and ran for over 120 metres. Rating: 8
2. Jaime Chapman
Not a night for wingers but had one chance and was all speed and class in nailing it in fine style down the right flank. Rating: 6
3. Jessica Sergis
Looked dangerous when given the ball in the first half but didn't return after halftime due to a neck injury. Rating: 4
4. Isabelle Kelly
Led the Blues in fine style to their first-ever series win and came up with some bruising defence and 160 run metres. Rating: 8
5. Jayme Fressard
Like Chapman, only got one opportunity on a soggy field but iced it to put the Blues on track for victory. Rating: 6
6. Tiana Penitani
Rose to the occasion, outclassing Aiken, laying on a try and setting up her outside players. Rating: 7
7. Jesse Southwell
The game's next superstar, controlled the Blues' attacking game and kicked intelligently. Rating: 8
8. Simaima Taufa
The star of game one had another ripper, scoring the Blues' first try after they fell behind early on and doing plenty of spadework. Rating: 8
9. Keeley Davis
Only got 40 minutes of game time at hooker and was one of the quieter Blues players. Rating: 4
10. Ellie Johnston
The biggest woman on the field proved a handful for the Maroons defence, but could work on her mobility and fitness. Rating: 6
11. Kezie Apps
Her size and speed made her a real threat to the defence and she terrorised the smaller Maroons edge players. Rating: 7
12. Yasmin Clydsdale
Looked like breaking the line a few times without actually doing it on the night. Rating: 5
13. Olivia Kernick
Dudded by the bunker for Queensland's first try, she bounced back to play an incredible game, scoring two tries and setting up another … and topping the tackle count and running 236 metres. Rating: A PERFECT 10
14. Jocelyn Kelleher
Never really got into the game in her 30-odd minutes of game time. Rating: 3
15. Kennedy Cherrington
Highly effective off the bench, raising the intensity and running for nearly 100 metres. Rating: 6
16. Sarah Togatuki
Busy in defence when given her chance but did little in attack. Rating: 4
17. Emma Verran
Ensured the Blues' domination never faltered when she got onto the paddock with a busy display. Rating: 5
QUEENSLAND MAROONS
1. Tamika Upton
An unhappy night - was awarded the controversial first try by the Bunker but then missed two tackles cold to let in two tries before injuring her hip. Rating: 4
2. Julia Robinson
The only Maroon to run for more than 100 metres - but most were to get her team out of trouble as the Blues pinned them in their own half. Rating: 7
3. Shenae Ciesiolka
Barely got a chance in attack and struggled to contain the big Blues outside backs in defence. Rating: 5
4. Rory Owen
Made six runs for a mere 31 metres - not good enough at this level. Rating: 3
5. Jasmine Peters
Hardly saw the ball in any decent field position as the Maroons struggled for field position. Rating: 4
6. Tarryn Aiken
Class player but was well contained by the Blues defence and given no time or space. Rating: 5
7. Ali Brigginshaw
I said it after game one and will say it again - has been a great player but is past her best - barely sighted. Can't be chosen for game three. Rating: 3

8. Makenzie Weale
With only 27 minutes out in the middle, had little effect on the Maroons' go-forward. Rating: 4
9. Lauren Brown
The Maroons' best player, set up their lone try and kicked well to turn the Blues around. Rating: 7
10. Jessika Elliston
Another Maroon who would not be happy with her game - couldn't dent the Blue wall. Rating: 4
11. Sienna Lofipo
Queensland's most effective forward, topping the tackle count and tried to get her team back into the game. Rating: 7
12. Romy Teitzel
Missed six tackles - including some vital ones - in a poor display from one of Queensland's heroes of 2024. Rating: 4

13. Keilee Joseph
Worked hard in defence in the middle but made just seven runs and never worried the defence. Rating: 5
14. Jada Ferguson
Three runs for 17 metres - not what the Maroons needed from the bench. Rating: 3
15. Sophie Holyman
Made one brief line break but otherwise not sighted in her 45 minutes off the bench. Rating: 4
16. Chelsea Lenarduzzi
The Maroons' most impressive bench player, tried hard to get her team back into the game but got little help. Rating: 5
17. Tavarna Papalii
Got nearly an hour off the bench - but failed to put herself into the game with just five runs for minimal gain. Rating: 3
