The NSW Blues have made history, winning their first multi-match Origin series with a dominant display over the Maroons in game two.

Heading into the match with a 1-0 lead, NSW were looking to end Queensland's run after the Maroons won a two-match series in 2023 and a three-match series last year.

They did just that on a wet Allianz Stadium, schooling the Maroons to win 26-6.

The biggest highlight for the Blues came when Jaime Chapman showed her incredible footwork to make it 20-6 in the second half.

The Blues winger broke the line on the wing before stepping to the outside, then to the inside and leaving Maroons fullback Tamika Upton clutching at air.

"She is a gazelle," Phil Gould said of Chapman on Nine.

Upton then grabbed at her hamstring and left the field later.

While Chapman had the biggest highlight, Olivia Kernick was the star for the Blues, finishing with two tries.

Her double came after she copped a controversial call early in the match when Upton was awarded a try due to Kernick's knock on.

"She copped a really rough call earlier in the game but she bounced back, her work in the middle of the field has been outstanding, this is her second try of the match and no one deserves it more," Phil Gould said on Nine after the second.

First points went to Upton in the fifth minute but from there it was all the Blues.

NSW forward Simaima Taufa scored first for her side, hitting a hole close to the line and running over the top of Upton.

"My favourite ever player," Gould said.

Kernick then scored in the 29th minute to make it 12-6 at the break.

NSW came out of the sheds even more determined as Jayme Fressard crossed in the corner early.

Chapman extended the lead with her stunning effort before Kernick bulldozed through the middle to seal victory.

Kernick's incredible performance included 23 runs for 236 metres. She also had one try assist, a line break assist and 10 tackle breaks. The lock was awarded player of the match.

"I'm so stoked and so proud of the girls out there, we worked so hard and definitely deserved it," she told Nine post-match.
