EXCLUSIVE: Ruan Sims names the one player who could shake-up the NRLW's finals picture

NRLW legend Ruan Sims has named the one player who could be the difference in the grand final qualifier between the Sharks and Roosters, with the latter heavy favourites.

The Roosters haven't lost a match all season, having beaten the Sharks 40-10 in the final round.

However, in the first week of finals, the Sharks managed to pull off an upset and claim victory at Townsville against the Cowboys.

Cronulla's hooker, Georgia Hannaway, was the key in that win after scoring the try that sealed it.

Hannaway had gone off earlier in the second half earlier for an HIA but when she returned, the match was put beyond doubt.

Sims believes she'll come under significant pressure from the Roosters.

"I think for the Sharks, a lot of attack comes off Georgia Hannaway and they look good, they look good when she gets out and goes," she said on Wide World of Sports' NRLW Weekly.

"So that's where I think the Roosters will focus a lot of attention on shutting her down, and they'll send a lot of traffic at her to make some tackles and take some sting out of her attack."

Sims also named Hannaway in her team of the year at hooker, despite the Sharks star playing seven out of 11 regular games at five-eighth.

The Queensland Maroons representative will have to be at her best to overcome the Roosters though who are coming playing after a week off.

But Sims is adamant "anything is possible in finals".

"We've seen it time and time again," she said.

"We've seen it in the NRL, what's happened with the Panthers going from outside the four and they're on the charge."

The Sharks and Roosters play at Polytec Stadium, Gosford from 7:45pm on Saturday.
