NRL expert tips and predictions: Round 10
We’re up to Round 10 after having a well-deserved week off for the representative round. Here at Wide World of Sports we’re sorting you out with our NRL tips and predictions, each and every week, brought to you straight from the mouth of our experts.
The entire panel were caught out in round nine by the Bulldogs edging out the Raiders 16-10, but that didn’t stop Freddy from tipping six winners for the round to move to within striking distance of the leaders.
King Wally still holds a one point lead over Sterlo at the top with Freddy lurking in third, while at the other end of the table Joey has moved off the bottom, leaving Gus with sole possession of last place after only managing four winners last round.
The Eels have won their last three games to move into the top eight, while the Roosters are coming off a last start loss to the Warriors, but Joey says this will be a game not to be missed when they clash, live and free on Channel Nine on Sunday.
“I think this will be the game of the year, the best game we’ve seen.”
“It’s predicted to be dry, so they’ll be throwing the ball around. I think this will be an absolute cracker, I’ll go the Roosters.”
Fittler believes the left side combination of Latrell Mitchell and Daniel Tupou might be enough to get his old side over the line.
“It will be a great game, Latrell’s back, he might cause some damage, maybe between Toops and Latrell they might get them a victory.”
Round 10 opens with the Bulldogs playing the Cowboys live and free on Channel Nine on Thursday night, and Joey is predicting a close match, although the Cowboys are again missing star playmaker Johnathan Thurston.
“No Thurston, that’s a big loss for them, I think the Dogs will win but it will be a really tight game,” is the verdict from Johns.
Freddy is also tipping the Bulldogs.
“I feel like the Dogs defence will put too much pressure on the Cowboys, the Dogs to win,” said Fittler.

I can’t get a read on Souths, there’s something going on there. The last performance against Manly was absolutely dreadful,” Johns said.
“I’ll go the Tigers.”
Freddy disagrees, believing the Tigers will struggle without Aaron Woods.
“I feel without Aaron Woods the halves might see a bit of a different game ... I’m going to say Souths on the back of Reynolds and Walker having big games.”
