Tigers stack under 21s side with NRL talent while Schuster named for return
The Wests Tigers will go hunting for a Jersey Flegg title and have the handy acquisitions of first grade representatives Heamasi Makasini, Jared Haywood and Kit Laulilii after a decision to place them in under 21s.
Makasini will be the biggest name in the Flegg side having played 14 matches in the NRL this season.

The 19-year-old played NSW Cup in his last match which the Tigers’ feeder side Western Suburbs Magpies lost 44-28.
The other first grade capped players will include Jared Haywood and Kit Laulilii.
Haywood played three NRL matches this season from rounds 19 to 21 when Api Koroisau was out.
The hooker then featured in two NSW Cup matches but went back to Jersey Flegg last week in a 40-26 win over the Roosters.
Laulilii is Perth Bears bound next season along with his brother Luke.
Kit has played three matches in the NRL from 2023 to 2025 but only four in NSW Cup this season. He scored a try in the recent Flegg fixture against the Roosters.
The Tigers are currently fifth on the Jersey Flegg ladder with this weekend being the final round.
The Dragons, Bulldogs, Panthers and Sharks all sit above them.
In NSW Cup, the Magpies are 10th and play the Rabbitohs this Saturday at Lidcombe Oval.
Josh Schuster has been named to play in his club debut at five-eighth for the Magpies with NRL players Starford To’a and Royce Hunt in the lineup too.
