‘Waste of time’: Ryles refuses NRL approach despite fury over Bunker
Parramatta coach Jason Ryles has described it as a “waste of time” approaching the NRL after a cautious take down of the Bunker following his side’s 34-16 loss to the Dolphins.
Ryles took umbrage with a try awarded to Jamayne Isaako late in the first half that put the Dolphins up 16-10.

Isaako had taken a pass from Jack Bostock near the tryline and went over with Sean Russell tackling him.
The ball looked loose in the tackle and went up as no try from referee Gerard Sutton.
“A little bit of a bobble there,” Phil Gould said on Nine’s commentary
Bunker official Ashley Klein said Isaako had a clear grip of the ball and overturned the decision.
Post-match, Ryles was clearly furious.
“I don’t go near the referees for anything like that because I know they have a tough job. One thing I will say is that Bunker has more technology than they had getting to the moon, and they still stuff it up,” he said.
“That’s what I don’t understand. That’s all I’ve got to say about the Bunker, I don’t have anything good to say, so I’m just going to leave it at that.”
Ryles was probed immediately after and said he wouldn’t discuss the Bunker before adding “just get it right”.
In the end, Ryles couldn’t help himself and admitted he thought Isaako dropped the ball but it didn’t have an influence on the game.
“But that’s going to decide a grand final,” he warned.
Asked if his side wasn’t copping the rub of the green because they’re not in the top eight, Ryles laughed.
“You’re trying to bait me, aren’t you? It’s going nothing to do with that,” he said as Mitchell Moses agreed next to him.

Finally, it was put to Ryles whether he’d seek feedback from the NRL.
“Not worth it, waste of time,” he replied.
