Jesse Ramien fined for 'brain explosion' after being taunted by rival

Sharks centre Jesse Ramien has been fined $1,500 for a dying minutes brain explosion during Cronulla's 26-6 loss to the Panthers at Carrington Park, Bathurst.
As Penrith came out of trouble through Thomas Jenkins, Ramien tried to make a late statement with a big hit and was immediately penalised.
The Sharks centre was placed on report for the hit with Mitch Kenny mocking him straight after the incident.

"Ramien flew in like a missile and Mitch Kenny is saying brain explosion," caller Dan Ginnane said on Fox League.

Steve 'Blocker' Roach described it as "an old-fashioned shoulder charge".
The match review committee charged Ramien with a grade one shoulder charge.
Ramien's act was a sign of frustration in a match where the Panthers reminded everyone about their premiership credentials.

After holding the Broncos to nil in their round one match, the Sharks only scored one try in the 57th minute.
For the Panthers, Jenkins crossed for a double while Nathan Cleary and Brian To'o also claimed four-pointers.
