Final piece in the puzzle solved as Mitch Barnett's deal with Brisbane confirmed
Mitch Barnett's signature at the Broncos has been confirmed with recent arrival Grant Anderson part of the swap deal with the Warriors.
Barnett was given permission to leave New Zealand on compassionate grounds and had signed a three-year deal with Brisbane on the condition a player joined the Warriors in return.
Anderson, who arrived at the Broncos from Melbourne in the pre-season, will head the other way despite being contracted until the end of 2027. The outside back's deal offers him more security and will be for three years as well.

"Grant has been a great addition to the club and has fully embraced our standards and culture," Broncos recruitment boss Simon Scanlan said in a statement.
"We look forward to welcoming him back on the field in the coming weeks."

Warriors coach Andrew Webster is delighted to have the former Storm winger on board.
"Grant is an accomplished outside back who has plenty to offer," he said.
"He gives us depth among our outside backs and will certainly add to competition in the squad.
"We'll also benefit from the professional attitude he'll bring after four seasons with the Storm and now being part of the Broncos this year."

Barnett joins the Broncos after previously playing under Michael Maguire with the NSW Blues.

Maguire travelled to Sydney this season when clubs were making their pitch to the prop.
Barnett's signature became a priority when Payne Haas shocked the club and announced he'd be joining South Sydney.
