A young Broncos gun has found himself in hot water during a night out following his side's win over the Dolphins.

The club on Saturday morning referred Josiah Karapani to the NRL integrity unit after he was issued a banning notice by Queensland Police.

In a brief statement, the club said the winger was spoken to by police in the early hours of Saturday morning in Fortitude Valley.
