Broncos ditch Gorden Tallis honour from $27 million headquarters as war with club legend turns nuclear
The Broncos have banished Gorden Tallis' name from their $27 million headquarters in an extraordinary move that's turned their war with the club legend nuclear.
News Corp reported on Friday night that a conference room at the Broncos' Red Hill headquarters named after Tallis had been renamed in honour of NRLW co-captain Ali Brigginshaw, who last season skippered Brisbane to a premiership for the fourth time.
The club confirmed the change with Wide World of Sports prior to kick-off in the Broncos' clash with the Storm in Melbourne on Friday night, which Brisbane won 18-14 to grab their first victory of the season.

Tallis is the Broncos' loudest critic. The former club captain has been particularly vocal since the Broncos sacked Kevin Walters, a great mate and premiership teammate of his, following the 2024 season.
Tallis, nicknamed "The Raging Bull" in his playing days, has gone particularly hard at Michael Maguire, Walters' replacement, and has continued to hound "Madge" since he coached Brisbane to grand final glory last year.
He's also unloaded on club captain and veteran halfback Adam Reynolds in the past week, blasting the skipper over his management of a rib injury.
In a statement provided to Wide World of Sports, Broncos chief executive Dave Donaghy steered clear of mentioning Tallis but paid tribute to Brigginshaw.

"Brisbane Broncos recognise the positive contributions and ongoing support of a number of club legends by way of naming various meeting rooms within the Clive Berghofer Centre," Donaghy said.
"The naming of the Ali Brigginshaw meeting room recognises her outstanding contribution to the Broncos club since the inception of the NRLW program, including leading the club to four NRLW premierships."
Wide World of Sports contacted Tallis for comment.
One of his most scathing attacks on the Broncos came in 2019, during the Anthony Seibold era.
"You've got to respect the past before you put that jersey on and I don't think that's happening anymore," Tallis said on Triple M.
"They've got a $27 million facility and they all sit around having coffees and walking around the town like they own the place. They own nothing. They've won nothing.
"A couple of my old teammates went to their anniversary and all the highlights they showed were all the old teams from the '90s. They can't show anything from this current crop.
"I don't go back there. I don't hang off them. I don't want to feel like I have to be mates and they have to like me and I have to like them."
Tallis played 160 games for Brisbane between 1997 and 2004.
The firebrand back-rower won premierships with Brisbane in 1997, 1998 and 2000, before replacing Walters as Broncos captain from 2001.
