Super Leaguewinning coach Willie Peters has once again confirmed he wants to be in the NRL as he starts to prepare the Kangaroos for the Ashes tour.
Peters is an assistant coach to Kevin Walters and will do his NRL coaching plans no harm by being part of the squad.
The former Rabbitohs and Dragons player recently led Hull Kingston Rovers to a grand final victory after taking over the club at the end of 2022 when it finished eighth.

"Yes, is the answer, down the track," he told 9News Sydney.
"When that is? I'm not sure. I'm really happy where I am. It's going to have to be the right time and right club, and whenever that is ... I always say worry about the now, and now it's what I'm doing with this Australian team."

As for his role with the Kangaroos, Peters said he's "absolutely honoured" to be in the green and gold and isn't afraid to dish the dirt on English players.
"I'll help in any way I can, that's what I'm here to do," he said.
"We're about winning this series, that's what it's about."
