Josh Morris calls for Manly to 'bite the bullet' on Tom Trbjoveic switch amid rising stars
Former NRL star Josh Morris has called for Manly to "bite the bullet" and move Tom Trbojevic into a new role in the spine amid his troubling run with hamstring and knee injuries.
Trbjoveic has been at the centre of speculation of a possible position switch at club level with Manly, having featured at centre and on the wing on rare occasions.
The fullback has been in a continuous battle with injuries in recent seasons, most recently overcoming an MCL and hamstring complaint earlier this year.

However, with the emergence of new young talents like Lehi Hopoate and Tolutau Koula at Manly, questions have been raised as to where the Trbjoveic is best suited.
Trbojevic was snubbed for game one of the 2025 State of Origin series, with Dylan Edwards beating the Sea Eagles veteran and James Tedesco for the fullback role.
Likewise, Zac Lomax, Brian To'o, Stephen Crichton and Latrell Mitchell were all picked over Trbojevic in the outside backs.
Coach Anthony Seibold has insisted his player is fully fit to play, a comment which Morris did not deny, although the former NRL star fears Trbojevic's fitness is not suited to fullback anymore.
"He needs to play five-eight or centre," Morris told 2GB's The Continuous Call Team.

"The running at fullback is what is hurting him. It is so hard to be a fullback these days, you have to be [the fittest] player on the field.
"The amount of sprinting you have to do, especially on your goal line, you are basically running sprints across your tryline just following the ball.
"He's had those hamstring injuries so whenever he is a little bit off mixed with fatigue or even on a heavy ground, that can effect you massively.
"I think the amount of running is starting to take its toll on Tommy.

"He's not getting any younger, they need to bite the bullet."
Morris recognised the skilful displays of Hopoate and Koula in recent weeks, floating the pair as ideal options to step into the No.1 jersey for Manly.
"They've got Lehi Hopoate there who is a great young winger but he can play fullback as well, he's showed that," said Morris.
"Kola could go fullback... I think the time has come that (Trbojevic) needs to move to the centres or the halves."
