Tino Fa'asuamaleaui facing nervous wait after high shot as Titans complete crazy comeback win

Tino Fa'asuamaleaui faces the ire of the match review committee after he was placed on report only seconds into the Gold Coast's come from behind win against the Knights.

The Titans captain collected Leo Thompson high in the opening minute, leaving the Knights prop groggy on the ground.

Fa'asuamaleaui was also clutching at the back of his head as referee Belinda Sharpe immediately gave a penalty.

"Leo Thompson was rocked there, there might be a problem for both Fa'asuamaleaui and Leo Thompson," caller Warren Smith said on Fox League.

Fa'asuamaleaui was then placed on report.

Minutes later the Knights were ahead with a penalty goal before the tries flowed.

Dylan Lucas, Fletcher Sharpe and Mat Croker all crossed the line as the Knights shot out to a 20-0 lead.

The Gold Coast didn't score until the 34th minute through Phillip Sami with the score 20-6 at half-time.

Fa'asuamaleaui showed no signs of worry from the first-minute penalty, playing the full half and running for 117 metres. His numbers were the best of the forwards for the Titans with Klese Haas next on the stats list with 77 metres.

The skipper also had two linebreak assists and three tackle breaks. He also topped the defence stats with 34 tackles.

After the break, Des Hasler's men came out the much better side.

Sami had a double within minutes before Knights forward Brodie Jones was put on report for a crusher tackle.

In the 66th minute it was game on as AJ Brimson crossed the line.

Late in the match, Kai Pearce-Paul ensured the match review committee would stay busy when he was placed on report.

The penalty gifted the Titans field position and they made the most of it with Brimson scoring his second off a Alofiana Khan-Pereira grubber from the wing.

Jayden Campbell then converted the try with two minutes left to gift his side an incredible 24-20 comeback victory.

"Can you believe what we've seen in the second half here?," Steve 'Blocker' Roach said.

The camera then cut to under pressure Titans coach Hasler, who simply had a look on his face that couldn't be explained.

Next week the Knights are back on Friday, hosting the Eels. The Titans will have a significant break before playing the Raiders on Sunday.
