Mitch Moses has delivered a pointed response to reporters about the penalty count after Eels coach Jason Ryles was asked about a controversial call in his side's win.

The Bunker denied the Warriors a remarkable comeback win over the Eels when it overturned an Adam Pompey try.

With the Eels leading 26-22 in the final five minutes, a kick went up and Pompey managed to grab a loose ball and score.

Parramatta fullback Isaiah Iongi was ruled to have knocked in a contest with Warriors prop Demitric Vaimauga with James Fisher-Harris offloading to Pompey who scored.

Referee Peter Gough awarded it a try before the Bunker stepped in and ruled Vaimauga had knocked the ball on.

"The Warriors are stunned," caller Warren Smith said on Fox League.

Greg Alexander thought the Warriors were hard done by.

"Did I miss the finger's flexing? I thought it was inconclusive at best. On-field decision was try, Peter Gough said try, that's important," he said.

"That's a huge call."

Post-match, Warriors coach Andrew Webster didn't offer too much of an opinion and admitted he'd have to watch it back.

Straight away in his press conference, Ryles was asked about it and smiled when saying there was no disputing the call.

Six minutes later it was brought up again, with Ryles laughing.

"The referee tonight, and the Bunker, they had a lot of decisions to make and for me that's a knock on every day of the week, sometimes you get the calls and sometimes you don't. We've had a lot of times when we don't get the calls," he said as Moses laughed.

"That's the reality. They're human in the middle and they're human in the Bunker. If you're asking my pure opinion, that went forward every day of the week, I don't even know why you're asking the question."

Moses then interjected, saying "they had a 12-4 penalty count ... (we're) not going off one play bruz".

"Looking in the wrong area," he said again as Ryles continued to defend the decision.

The Eels managed to hold on until the end to celebrate another upset victory.

Josh Addo-Carr started the party when he ran over 100 metres to score.

By half-time the Eels were leading 12-4 thanks to Jack Williams' try while Pompey scored the four-pointer for the Warriors.

A penalty goal and try for Iongi pushed the lead to 20-4, but the Warriors weren't done.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck gave his side a chance in the 56th minute before young star Leka Halasima scored.

Iongi had a second try by the 63rd minute but when Halasima scored a double of his own it was game on.

Ultimately, the Bunker call was the difference between winning and losing. Post-match, James Graham said the decision was "fair play" while Cooper Cronk said "I think the Bunker got it right".

The result could mean the Warriors fall from fourth to sixth due to points difference. The Broncos and Sharks will need wins for that to occur.
