Seven debutants will reportedly be selected in the 23-man Kangaroos squad for the end-of-season Ashes series against England.

Several international rookies are in line to play the first game of the series at Wembley on October 25, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

Rising Raiders star Ethan Strange and recent rugby signing Mark Nawaqanitawase are set to be named, along with South Sydney's Keaon Koloamatangi, Cronulla hooker Blayke Brailey, Canterbury's Jacob Preston, Newcastle centre Bradman Best and Broncos fullback Reese Walsh.

The Aussies will also play games at Anfield on November 1 and then at Leeds on November 8.

The Kangaroos have had a number of players either withdraw due to injury or elect to represent other countries.

But they were boosted by the inclusion of Kotoni Staggs, who made himself available for the Kangaroos instead of Tonga.

Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters will meet with selectors on Monday morning to discuss potential injuries that may arise from the grand final.

The Kangaroos will be without the likes of James Tedesco, Tom Trbojevic, Latrell Mitchell and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow for the series for various reasons.

The report states that Walters is keen to have Walsh play in the No.1 jersey after Tedesco ruled himself out, with Dylan Edwards included in the squad as cover.

Despite Edwards reportedly being overlooked for the fullback role, the Panthers will have the most representatives in the team with four players, while Brisbane, the Storm and Roosters will have three.
