'Looks like it will take place': David Fifita in line for early Titans exit as South Sydney links continue
David Fifita's time at the Gold Coast Titans could be set to come to an end after reports the South Sydney Rabbitohs are interested in his services.
Just weeks after undergoing season-ending surgery on his ankle, Fifita looks all-but certain to cut his time at the club short in a bid to join forces with Wayne Bennett.
The 25-year-old still has another year left on his contract with the Titans but has found himself out of favour at the club, having been dropped to QLD Cup this year.

It is not the first time Fifita has been linked to make the move away from the Gold Coast, having previously backflipped on a move to join the Roosters last year.
But according to Nine's Ben Dobbin, it appears that his time on the Gold Coast is over and this time the hulking back-rower will be on the move.

Dobbin revealed "nothing has been signed" and no negotiations have unfolded as of yet but Souths have expressed their interest recruit Fifita.
"I asked Wayne if he sees Fifita as a starter or a bench player and he said, 'Absolutely in the starting side'," Dobbin said on 9News Queensland.
"He would love to have him at the Rabbitohs next year. He believes his best football is still ahead of him. This looks like it will take place."

Gold Coast are confident they can come to an agreement with the Rabbitohs to ensure Fifita is able to make the move.
