'Have a look at them': Klemmer, Radley brawl almost spills into crowd in wild start to Anzac Day clash

The traditional Anzac Day clash between the Roosters and Dragons got off to an explosive start when David Klemmer and Victor Radley came to blows after the opening set.

Speaking to Andrew Johns on Nine pre-game, Radley said Klemmer was the man in his sights, and he wasted no time trying to get under the big man's skin.

But it all started when Dragons winger Tyrell Sloan slung Roosters winger Billy Smith to the turf after a bombed half-chance at the end of the set.

A couple of Roosters players ran in to support their teammates, before Klemmer arrived on the scene to provide reinforcements.

Radley then went after the Klemmer, and both looked close to throwing hands as they all but spilled into the front row of the stands.

"You don't think the emotion has boiled over into the players ... it's all happening," Nine caller Mat Thompson said.

"They nearly wrestled into the crowd then ... have a look at them," Andrew Johns added.

The Roosters scored the opening try through Sandon Smith minutes later, but their lead was short lived after Sione Finau pounced on a loose ball to run 80m to score.
