Sydney Roosters reportedly interested in Wallabies prodigy Max Jorgensen as Suaalii rumours quashed
The Sydney Roosters are reportedly plotting another raid on rugby union with speculation around interest in young gun Max Jorgensen.
Jorgensen was a shock addition to former Wallabies coach Eddie Jones' World Cup squad but fractured his fibula during the tournament and has yet to represent the national side.
The Roosters are fresh off pillaging the Wallabies squad with the signing of Mark Nawaqanitawase after losing Joseph Suaalii to the code.

Joseph Manu is also set to leave in favour of a move to rugby union, which could be in France.

9news reporter Danny Weidler revealed the Roosters could make a play for Jorgensen, whose father Peter previously played for Easts and the Panthers along with the Wallabies.
"The name that keeps getting tossed at me in maybe the next 12, 18 to 24 months is Max Jorgensen the rugby player ... he's someone they're seriously looking at," he said on Nine's 100% Footy.

The Roosters are likely to see significant roster turnover in the coming years, with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves on his way to the Super League next season while Angus Crichton is also likely to depart.
32-year-old Daniel Tupou is also off contract but the club did welcome Dominic Young this season, along with Spencer Leniu.

Weidler added the club has no interest in disgruntled Dragons outside back Zac Lomax while putting to bed rumours Suaalii could be about to backflip on his Wallabies deal.
"Two or three weeks ago I checked this out with Phil Waugh (chief executive of Rugby Australia) who said 'no, we are definitely going to be honouring Joseph's contract'," he said.
"There had been talk that parts of that deal were not coming to fruition, that has been denied to me by Phil Waugh who said everything we have promised is there on the table."
