Mitchell Moses opens up on 'special' $6m deal after stunning performance against South Sydney
Just a day after long-awaited confirmation of a new deal to stay with the Eels, Mitchell Moses rewarded club bosses with a stunning performance to lead his side to a 20-point upset win over the Rabbitohs.
Moses put in a flawless performance with the boot and had four try assists in this side's 36-16 win at Allianz Stadium.
The new deal is reportedly worth $1.2 million a season and will see him at the club until the end of 2026 with an option for an extra two years. Moses said it was "special".

"I grew up supporting the club and to spend the next five years still here, and try to do something, we have a special group here," he told Nine's Danika Mason after the match.

"Hopefully we can do something this year and in the future years."
Moses said his side's performance against the Rabbitohs was one of their most complete performances of the season.

Following back-to-back losses, the Eels could have turned to water when they trailed early in the second half.
Instead, they rallied to score the last four tries of the match.

"It was a big game for us with where we were sitting on the table," Moses said.
"We weren't too [happy] with how we've been playing the last few weeks, but a few calls going our way and it's a different story.
"We wanted to come here and compete tonight. I thought everyone did that."
Dylan Brown in particular was sensational with a try, a try assist, three tackle busts, four offloads and 23 tackles.
Moses said Brown had been their best player for the past five weeks.
"He's been outstanding, setting the platform for us," he said.
"If we can do what he is doing every week and compete on everything, and for 1-17 to do that, we'll win more games than lose."
Sean Russell opened the scoring for the Eels in just the second minute. Bailey Simonsson picked up a double, while Bryce Cartwright, Brown and Will Penisini all got themselves on the board.
But the Eels didn't escape completely unharmed. Scans on Saturday will reveal the extent of a calf injury sustained by Ryan Matterson, while Andrew Davey was also classed a category-one concussion, and will spend the next 11 days on the sideline.
The Eels take on the Cowboys next Friday.
