Paul Vautin was not convinced.

"Stop it, you have to be 100 per cent sure he would've got to it ... that ball had actually got away from him, he'd run past it. Turn it up," he said on Nine's coverage.

"... that's such a bad decision."

North Queensland attacked down the left hand side before putting a kick in.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow then came into to try and diffuse the kick but instead kicked it himself.

That ball went straight into Heilum Luki's bread basket as he ran away to score.

"This is turning into a nightmare for the Dolphins but they've only got themselves on to blame, I've seen some dumb things," Fatty Vautin said on Nine's coverage.

"Just dive on the ball champ."

9news and Sydney Morning Herald reporter Michael Chammas has revealed the Dragons and Zac Lomax's management will discuss the star's future after round four as his unhappiness about playing on the wing comes to a head.

The Dragons are also in the market for Wallabies star Jordan Petaia in what would be a shock defection.

"Shane Flanagan has his eye on him, he's reached out to his management, he wants to sit down with his management in the coming weeks," he said on Nine's coverage.

"You'd imagine that links with Zac Lomax's future."
