Roosters still a chance at sending off five of their departing stars in style as week three finals fixtures revealed

Not since 2019 have the Roosters and Storm met in a preliminary final.
Five years later, they'll be back in that arena again for a spot in the 2024 NRL grand final.
It comes after the Roosters dismantled Manly 40-16 in week two of the finals to ensure they still have a chance of sending off Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Joey Manu, Joseph Suaalii, Luke Keary and Sitili Tupouniua as winners.
In 2019, it was the Roosters hosting that time at the SCG.

Boyd Cordner and James Tedesco scored tries, while Latrell Mitchell hit two penalty goals in a thrilling 14-6 victory.
The Roosters then went on to win the grand final 14-8 against the Raiders and that's the last time either side have been spotted in a decider since.

How does the top eight work in the NRL?
The NRL finals fixture is decided based on the ladder standings at the conclusion of the regular season.
The top eight are split into two groups of four to commence the finals series.
The winners of the two qualifying finals advance to host preliminary finals, while the losers from the elimination finals will be knocked out of the competition.
In the first semi, the loser of the first qualifying final will host the winner of the first elimination final fixture.
Similarly, the loser from the second qualifying final will face the winner of the second elimination final on home soil.

The preliminary finals will see the winner of the first qualifying final will host the winner of the second semi final, while the winner of the second qualifier hosts the winner of the first semi-final.
The winning teams from both preliminary finals will battle it out for the premiership title on October 6 at Accor Stadium in the NRL grand final.
If any match in the finals series concludes as a draw following golden point, additional five minute halves will be played to ensure a winner is found.
The first team to score in additional time, like in the regular season, will be crowned the match winners.
