Tariq Sims was sin-binned twice in the first half of the Dragons' clash against the Broncos.

Sims was first given 10 for a late shot on Broncos halfback Adam Reynolds in just the second minute of the match.

It was a decision that incensed league legend Paul Vautin.

"Are you serious? That will do me, that is just disgusting," Vautin said on Nine commentary.

"It looked a fraction late. Honestly, that is a millisecond."

Immediately after that incident, the Broncos scored the opener through winger Delouise Hoeter.

After he returned to the field, Sims didn't last long before once again being marched, this time for a shoulder charge on a Rhys Kennedy.

Sims was probably lucky to not be sent off for the hit, although social media reaction immediately suggested two sin-binnings should equal a send off, as is the case with most other football codes.

Sims spent more time off the field in the first half than on it.
