Brandon Smith fires sledge at Matthew Timoko as young Raider departs for HIA
Brandon Smith is never far away from stirring up trouble.
During the opening half of Melbourne's elimination final against Canberra on Saturday, the Storm antagoniser fired a sledge at Matthew Timoko as the Raiders centre departed the field for a head injury assessment.
Timoko didn't draw a penalty after colliding with Storm prop Jesse Bromwich in the 12th minute, but he looked slightly groggy and was forced to leave the field for a HIA.

"Shouldn't have tried to lay down," Smith barked at Timoko.
The Canberra youngster was cleared in his HIA and returned to the paddock to help the Raiders push ahead of the Storm in the first half.
Timoko, Jamal Fogarty and Elliott Whitehead scored tries as Canberra surged to a 16-8 half-time lead.
In a thrilling passage of Canberra play, Timoko hurtled onto a Xavier Savage ball, goose-stepped, rag-dolled Melbourne superstar Cameron Munster and jammed the ball down for the Raiders' first try of the game.

Timoko, who made his NRL debut in 2020, is playing his first finals match in the Storm clash.
Smith won't play another game for the Storm once their finals run ends, with the utility forward set to join the Roosters on a three-year deal.
