'I don't lose': NFL fan arrested by police a week after 'brutal assault' video goes viral

A man who allegedly assaulted rival NFL fans and went viral on social media has turned himself into police a week after the incident.
Following Baltimore's 30-23 win over the Washington Commanders last Monday, video circulated of the man attacking two people wearing rival jerseys.
Ravens fan John Callis was seen kicking and punching the Commanders fans and the video spread like wild fire on the internet, which led to the Baltimore police department issuing an arrest warrant and Callis reportedly losing his job. The video gained 50 million views in just a couple of days.

On Tuesday, Baltimore police announced they had arrested Callis and posted photos of him on social media.
"In reference to the brutal assault that occurred on October 13, 2024, in the 1000 blk of S. Charles St., 24-year-old John Callis turned himself into police custody," they tweeted.
"Callis is facing first-degree aggravated assault and three counts of second-degree assault charges."
Callis was allegedly seen in the video approaching the two Commanders supporters, before saying "we've got a straggler".
He then proceeds to assault both men, punching one in the face then kicking and slamming another into a wall.
"I don't lose! I don't f---ing lose!" Callis was heard saying while flexing his right bicep.
Despite the declaration, Caliis was unaware his first loss was just around the corner.
His actions sparked fury online, with social media users quickly tracking down his identity.
That led to Callis' former employer, Baltimore insurance company Maury Donnelly & Parr, Inc., to announce it had parted ways with him.

"MDP has a zero-tolerance policy for violence and aggressive behaviour. This individual is no longer employed with our firm," the company wrote on X.
In addition to being fired, the Baltimore police confirmed the 24-year-old Baltimore native is "currently wanted for first-degree aggravated assault and three counts of second-degree assault."
In their warrant announcement, Baltimore police said that the two alleged victims were both 23-year-old males.
Callis was reportedly detained in 2021 after he and another man assaulted a person in Florida.
After that incident, he was fined $100 and received probation before judgement on charges of second-degree assault.
