Mundine, Cooper claim boxing wins
Anthony Mundine and rugby star Quade Cooper have celebrated boxing wins, but neither appeared to impress in their latest outings inside the ring.
Mundine fought little known New Zealander Gunnar Jackson and was forced to battle manfully by the 27 year old, a rival 11 years Mundine's junior.
Cooper was introduced as 'the Quintessential Quade Super Cooper' before scoring a fourth round TKO win over 40-year-old boxing veteran Warren Tresidder.
Still the man? Mundine scored a unanimous points win over Jackson.
He said he regained his killer instinct during the fight.
"I knew this guy meant business," Mundine said afterwards.
The win takes Mundine's record to 46 wins, 27 KOs and five losses.
Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie was among those watching Cooper's fight.
It was the Wallabies playmaker's second professional bout.
His rival has been cage fighting for 25 years, but was easily outclassed.
Fellow Wallby star Will Genia appeared to enjoy the show.
