The girlfriend of Olympic great Michael Phelps sent shockwaves around the world after revealing she was born intersex and was raised as a boy.
Taylor Lianne Chandler was born with male genitalia and female ovaries and named David Roy Finch until her teen years, when she received testosterone blockers and and then had her genitalia removed in her 20s.
She had been intimately involved with Phelps since August, but never told him of her past, until her admission on Facebook.

Despite their intimacy, Phelps never knew or asked about her past as a boy.
Chandler was with Phelps when he was arrested for DUI in September.
