To the AFL and, having copped a fair amount of criticism for his lack of marks so far this season, West Coast's Nic Naitanui answered his critics in the best way possible - by taking a screamer against Geelong that is being compared to some of the greatest grabs the game has ever seen.

The week's sporting agenda has been dominated by the tumultuous goings-on within FIFA, as football's governing body endured a dramatic seven days that began with seven top officials being arrested on corruption charges brought on by an FBI investigation.

Blatter celebrates re-election...
The week also saw FIFA President Sepp Blatter controversially re-elected for a fifth term just two days after the arrests were made, despite calls for him to resign in the wake of the corruption investigations.

Blatter's position proved to be untenable, however, as the resignation calls reached a crescendo and the 79-year-old Swiss decided it was time to step aside, ushering in a new dawn for the sport.
Goodes' war cry steals the show
Buddy Franklin may have kicked seven goals to help the Swans to a crushing victory over Carlton, but it was a 'war cry' celebration from Sydney stalwart Adam Goodes that dominated the headlines.
One game, two incredible goals
Fremantle pipped the Crows by 11 points to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, despite a stunning goal from Adelaide's Eddie Betts, whose left-footed 50m torpedo from the boundary had sent the home crowd into raptures in the second quarter.

Fremantle's win was secured, however, by a 30m beauty in the final quarter from Michael Barlow, who dodged one Adelaide player before slotting the goal close to the boundary line.
Fletcher reaches 400 not out
Essendon's Dustin Fletcher became just the third player in VFL/AFL history to reach 400 games when he lined up against Richmond at the MCG, but the 40-year-old's party was spoiled when he was subbed off injured, while the Tigers rubbed salt into his wounds by securing a 13-point win.
Inglis awarded controversial try
In the NRL, controversy surrounded Greg Inglis' first-half try against the Titans, after the South Sydney star appeared to run behind team-mate Luke Keary. The on-field ref called obstruction and no try was given, but his decision was overturned by the video referees - to the bemusement of the Titans, who went on to lose the match 22-16.
