Peruvian footballer Carlos Lobaton has joined an exclusive club that counts some of the game’s greatest names among its members – the halfway club.
The Sporting Cristal midfielder scored an outrageous goal from within his own half in a 4-3 win over rivals Juan Aurich.
Deep in his own territory, Lobaton fires the ball past a back-pedalling goalkeeper and into an open net.
