'It is raining amber nectar at the watering hole': Golf villain sends Adelaide crowd wild
Patrick Reed might be considered a golfing villain, but he was the star of the show at LIV Adelaide on Friday.
The tournament was barely 10 minutes in when the polarising American scored a hole in one on the The Grange's famous 12th hole.
Dubbed the "Watering Hole" since LIV first arrived there two years ago, the crowd has a penchant for soaking players who score an ace.

And Reed obliged on day one of the event when he sunk his tee shot on the par-3 and sent the grandstand wild.
Ironically, commentator Jerry Foltz had noted, "a little subdued early, the crowd at 12", just as Reed was taking his tee shot.

About three seconds later the commentators and the crowd went berserk when Reed's ball rolled into the cup.
"Oh my goodness me - Patrick Reed you little beauty!" Arlo White proclaimed.
"An ace for the Four Aces in the first hour of day one.
"First Chase Koepka, now Patrick Reed... we have lift off in Adelaide.
"It is raining amber nectar at the watering hole."
Koepka - the brother of major winner Brooks - was the first player to ace the Watering Hole when he did so in 2023.
