Legends down pints, shots in next-level hydration break
Real Madrid greats indulged in a different kind of hydration break during their legends game against Werder Bremen, with beers and shots brought to the field.
A number of servers strolled down the sidelines midway through the first half of the exhibition match, all carrying a plate of beer and shots for those in the match.

Players immediately turned their attention to the servers who awaited them on the sidelines, with Brazil’s Ailton, who was representing Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, the first to snatch a pint.
The former striker was seen downing the pint while waving to fans, while others on the field opted to take a singular shot or also have a sip of the available beers.
Fans were quick to jump on board the humorous hydration break, despite many in the football world criticising the notion when it was in effect at the World Cup.
A number of servers wearing white shirts and black aprons casually strolled down the sideline holding a plate with beers and shots on them for all players to consume during a stoppage break midway through the first half.
The beer seemingly did the job to inspire Ailton to put on a show, coming close to slotting a goal of his own within a minute of the drinks break ending.
While he was unable to find the back of the net at that moment, his Werder Bremen legends teammates rallied together to defeat Real Madrid 4-3.
Ex-German star Torsten Frings was one of the many who turned up to compete in the match, along with Diego Ribas, who infamously opted to play for Spain at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil despite representing the host nation as a child.
Diego scored a goal in the 72nd minute to give the Bundesliga outfit a 4-2 advantage, but Real Madrid replied promply via Agus García Íñiguez.
Real Madrid were led by Pepe, who retired in 2024 shortly after helping Spain win the Euros, and Esteban Cambiasso, who won 21 titles in his career, in the match.
