The Matildas are licking their wounds after a winless debut at the SheBelieves Cup in America.
They lost all three games - including a record 4-0 thumping at the hands of Japan - although showed some fight against the powerful USA and Colombia.
We have rated every player in the Australian squad.
Michelle Heyman - 5
Scored against the USA off the bench while she was unlucky not to find the net against Colombia.
Once again showed her goal scoring instinct providing the Matildas a target up front.
Winonah Heatley - 4
An exciting youngster who made her competitive debut for the Matildas as she performed solidly against a well drilled USA team in her only start of the tournament.
Holly McNamara - 3
The Melbourne City youngster continued her rise as she started against the USA.
Her performance was solid for one so young and inexperienced and she will be better for the experience.
Emily van Egmond - 3
Was only afforded one start during the tournament as she came off the bench in the first two games.
Her physical presence within the Australian midfield continues to be an asset but her ability to get around the pitch may affect her continued starting role.
Tameka Yallop - 3
Struggled with her time on the pitch as she failed to impose herself against Japan and Colombia.
Will most likely be involved in the squad for next year's Asian Cup but may be fighting an uphill battle to be demanding a starting spot.
Kyra Cooney-Cross - 6
Was the Matilda's most consistent midfielder as her composure and calmness on the ball belied the results.
Her continual growth within the Matildas structure has her positioned as being the midfield leader for years to come.
Caitlin Foord - 4
Struggled to impose herself on a tournament wherein the Matilda' attacking options failed to fire.
Foord's goal scoring instinct which has been on show with Arsenal this season was unable to be on show with the Matildas as she fed off scraps up front.
Steph Catley - 5
Always one of the Matildas' most consistent performers as she filled in at centre back as well as her usual left back position.
Her ability to perform at centre back may provide the Matildas another option when it comes to their defensive structure.
Mary Fowler - 4
Was rotated throughout the tournament as she saw her minutes reduced.
Showcased moments of class when on the pitch and still one of the Matildas' smoothest operators when in full flight.
